Welcome to Cycle Three Math!
Hello all!
Happy to be back with cycle three math again this year!
We are working right now on Topic #1(see below)
Test #1 - Sept. 21st (distance metric conversion, perimeter, area)
****Note: Some students still need to practice multiplying whole and decimal numbers and long division. I am giving reviews daily for a bit to also help them.
Test #2 - Oct. 3rd (mass and capacity metric conversion, temperature, time, volume)
Here is a temperature video you can watch to help you study and review.

Remember for going between units of mass and capacity we use metric stair case.
For Elapsed time review with this video.

Topic #1 The Metric System
We have used the metric staircase to explain how to do metric conversions. Here is a great diagram to go with our work and our foldables we made in class.
Also, don't forget - King Henry Doesn't Usually Drink Chocolate Milk!
We also watched a couple of videos about the metric system. Here are links to these.

Topic #2
Surveys, Collecting Data, and Graphing
Here is important reminders when doing surveying and data collecting:
Types of Graphs
This is a broken line graph.
We learned about these types of graphs also:
This is a frequency table.
Topic #3
Representing Numbers
This year we are responsible to know up to the millions position in numbers.
There are different ways to show numbers:
When we compare numbers we use symbols:
Exponents
Topic #5
Divisibility Rules
Topic #6
Multiplication
