Play 5 Beginnings

This week my class started the new program in preschool called Play 5.  We are having a great time!  The children like having a special play time!

Here are some photos of the beginnings:

This is my class' new play 5 meeting area. Our first play is Constructing.
Right now we are using a new shelf with labelled bins for materials, ( I have also ordered some extra large storage bags.)
We have Pete the Cat at our meeting area and keep reinforcing the idea about Pete not worrying. We have also talked about cleaning up materials and choosing a safe spot

These first two pictures are of some of the children proudly checking in on our first couple of days of Play 5.  My check in signal is a bell I ring.

Here are a few pictures of some students constructing.

This last boy told me as I was moving around that he had made a "village" and on my second time around class, a bit later, he said he was building the dog houses in the back yards.

Our clean up is done when I play the "clean up song" on my ipad.
